Personalization is important for many, moreover, many users prefer to be able to greatly customize their distribution or Ubuntu and use basic functions such as watching Youtube, writing in LibreOffice or listening to music more than programming or have the best core of the world. For these I have selected three elegant themes that we can install at the end of the terminal and apply them to our usual configuration.
These three elegant themes the I have chosen for my tastes and popularity though of course does not mean that my judgment should be yours, in return, the more diversity of opinion the better still. So feel free to comment on what you think. Also in this case I have selected the external repository route for the facilities, a more practical route as it will allow us to update the theme when the creator updates it and otherwise we would have to do it by hand. So you will need to open the terminal to use it.
Table of Contents
Numix Theme
We have talked about this topic many times, but with a different installation. In this case the repository is supported with Gnome, Unity, Openbox, Phanteom and Xfce or what is the same, Numix Theme we can use it with almost all flavors of Ubuntu. It uses GTK libraries so we will not be able to install it on Kubuntu. To install it, in the terminal we write the following:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:numix/ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install numix-gtk-theme
Paper Material Design
As its name suggests, Paper Material Design is inspired by Google and Android Material Design, A topic you are really enjoying and the adaptation for Ubuntu is interesting. Plus this sleek theme is compatible with almost all flavors of Ubuntu as well as with Cinnamon and Linux Mint. If you like the installation is:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:snwh/pulp sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install paper-gtk-theme sudo apt-get install paper-icon-theme
Arc Theme
This sleek theme reminds me a lot of Windows 10, albeit with its differences and no viruses. It is interesting and beautiful, hence my inclusion in this list. In addition its icons are not very simple or very colorful as in other themes. Unlike the previous ones, Arc Theme is MAT compatible and the rest of the flavors and desktops in Ubuntu. In this case no repository is needed but you have to go to this website and download the deb package that will install everything you need.
Conclusion on elegant topics
Customization in Ubuntu is very high, a customization that we can choose as I did in this article. As you may have seen, these three sleek themes are beautiful but may not be to your liking, I leave that to your choice but if you want sleek themes that are updated only thanks to the repositories, these themes are a good choice not do you believe
