Budgie-Remix, the future Ubuntu Remix?

Just a few days ago we met Mark Shuttleworth’s approval of a new taste with Budgie if there really was Community behind it and it seems like yes there is Community behind this. A developer named David Mohammed has released a new distribution that it’s been called Budgie Remix and which offers Budgie Desktop as a desktop on an Ubuntu database.

This new distribution features the approval of the Solus team, The real creators of Budgie Desktop and also with the approval of the users of the famous desktop. However the distribution is called Budgie Remix because they don’t want to get into controversy over the name yet which slow down development, this is something they will leave for when the distribution is stable and if Ubuntu opts for this work as the real flavor with Budgie or if on the contrary, another distribution is chosen instead.

Budgie-Remix is presented as a candidate to be the future Ubuntu Budgie

And while that lasts, David Mohammed has already posted the first beta version of Budgie-Remix. A version that has the entire Budgie Desktop based on Ubuntu Wily Werewolf. If you are interested in trying or getting it, in this link you will get the installation image. A version that is still in testing so it is recommended to test this distribution on a virtual machine or on non-production equipment as there may be serious problems.

So it seems that if things go wrong, before the end of the year, Ubuntu Budgie will be a reality, although we really do not know yet if it will be said “Bubuntu«,«Ubuntu Budgie»O«Budbuntu» What do you think? What is the best name for the distribution? Do you think Budgie-Remix will be the best choice to have Ubuntu and Budgie Desktop?
