Today I propose a simple tutorial that will allow you to modify the icons in your LibreOffice, The office suite of the free software par excellence (if that existed) and Ubuntu, therefore a program that I consider quite important in my day to day and in everyone. Customizing LibreOffice using its icons is the first tutorial in a series of tutorials I plan to do about LibreOffice to get it so ready that it surpasses the well-known Microsoft Office, The quintessential private office suite.

Preliminary steps for changing LibreOffice icons
To make the change, the first thing we need to do is choose the icon package we want to install. The package of icons which I will use is called Crystal, But you can use the icon pack that you want, as long as they are intended for LibreOffice.
Now, to get it Crystal icons what I did is install based on a script, except for the Artescritorio block, To use it we just have to open the console and type
sudo apt-get install LibreOffice-style-crystal -i && cd / tmp && wget https://github.com/hotice/myfiles/raw/master/images_flat.zip
your cp images_flat.zip /usr/share/libreoffice/share/config/images_crystal.zip
With this little script, the system does is connect to the server where it is located the icon pack, Copy it and then take it to the / usr / share / LibreOffice / share / config / folder where the icon packs we want LibreOffice to use are located.
Change the icons in LibreOffice
Whether we have saved the icons on our system for the script method or we did it manually, now all that remains is to apply the selected settings. For this we go to the menu Tools-> Options and in the window that opens choose the option I will see.
There we find at the height of our view a drop-down menu that will allow us to choose the theme of icons we want to use, mark what we want to use and press the accept button. Now, as you may have noticed, you already have it the new icon settings in LibreOffice, If on the other hand it has not changed, review that the icon pack is the right one for LibreOffice – not all packages are suitable – and that is at the address provided. In future posts we will try to further customize our LibreOffice and even incorporate a better dictionary for our spell checker.
