The first performance test of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 would have been filtered out. An Internet user shared on Twitter a graph showing the performance of the new high-end Nvidia card compared to the RTX 2080 Ti in 3 different Ultra games with active DLSS technology.
We don’t know if this leak is real, so what follows should be taken very carefully while we wait for today’s official presentation, scheduled for 6pm.

yuten0x also shared an image of the GPU, highlighting the V-shaped design that was leaked in early June. The new 12-pin connector is not visible, but the design of the front fan and the shape of the board is consistent with what we have seen so far.
According to the first image, the RTX 3090 would be equipped with 24 GB of 19.5 Gbps VRAM, as well as 5,248 CUDA cores . As for games, we can see in the second image that the RTX 3090 offers on average twice as many frames per second in games like Control, Minecraft RTX and Wolfenstein: Youngblood.

A leap in performance is expected
As we have seen in the graph, this new card should allow you to play all current games comfortably. However, if the leak is confirmed, these performances must be nuanced . Here, the card is only compared in the game with the RTX 2080 Ti with all ray tracing effects activated. It could be that Nvidia has greatly improved ray tracing performance compared to the RTX 2080 Ti, which, let’s remember, was part of the first generation of graphics cards that supported this feature.
This means that such a big jump in performance with ray tracing on does not necessarily mean that players will enjoy a similar increase in performance once the feature is off . Looking forward to tonight’s presentation, you can learn more about the features, price, and release date of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090, 3080, and RTX 3070.
