QInk is an application that helps us to control the ink level of our printer in Ubuntu, Something that users of other operating systems are used to having since most of the software to manage the printer that comes for these OS carries it, but for Linux systems it is a bit more complicated to know.
QInk use the library libinklevel to control the ink level of our printer and supports a good number of models the list you can see it in this link, Although I do not know if this list is complete because my printer is not listed and yet as you can see in the image below it detected it and is actually inkless
per to Install QInk on Ubuntu | first we have to add our user to the group lp typing in a terminal
sudo adduser usuario lp
Where user is our username, for example in my case would be
sudo adduser leo lp
Then we just need to download the .deb package corresponding to our version of Ubuntu installed, and double click on it to install it.
Once installed we find the application in Applications-> Accessories-> QInk
