to change the first name of ours equipment can be done graphically using any text editor or directly from the console using GNU nano, and if we are in openSUSE we can do it from too YaST.
The first is to open YaST from our menu or from KRunner. Once opened we have to go to the section Network devices and then to Network configuration. In the window that opens we go to the tab Hostname / DNS and we edited the field Hostname entering the new team name.
Then just accept the changes.
The next thing is to go to the section Network services and then to Team names. We will find a window similar to the following:
We edit the option that has the IP address 127.0.0.1, our loopback IP address. That’s why we double-click. You will be warned that this is a system machine; we accept.
In the new window we enter the new team name in the field Host alias. then we oppress accept.
Back to window Team names we will observe the name we have just introduced.
Now all that remains is to accept the changes made. With that we will have changed the team name of YaST. It is the same as doing it directly by editing the files hosts i HOSTNAME located in the folder / etc from our root, albeit in a more user-friendly way for users who prefer to do so using the powerful YaST GUI.
