Recently Rhythmbox is the most well-known and widely used music and media player in general in Ubuntu. But many people buy one iPhone or iPod of any kind with our eyes closed without measuring their level of compatibility with any operating system and just when we are going to sync our music and our videos to the Rhythmbox the sync problem appears. Ubuntu does not have an official version of iTunes, a program that par excellence synchronizes our iPods, iPhones or the iPad itself.
Here’s a solution so that the music we sync Rhythmbox – iPhone or iPod can be played normally:
- Go to Places> User (Home) and press Crtl + H
- Find the .gconf folder
- In the .gconf folder navigate to Apps> Rhythmbox> State> iPod
- Delete the% gconf.xml file in the iPod folder
- Restart the Rhythmbox and you’re done, you can sync your iPhone or iPod to the Rhythmbox without any problems.
