In the next article, or rather video-article, I will teach you the basics of our operating system terminal Linux, In addition to concretizing Ubuntu.
In it we will make one basic exercise for novice users, in which with the help of video, we will be able to rehearse on our own computer.
To understand the practical exercise, in addition to watch the video attached to the header, we will have to do it ourselves on our PC, this way, in addition to the concepts of what we are doing we will be left before in memory, we will be able to experience ourselves how easy it is to start doing things with the terminal of our operating system.
the orders which we will use in this first video tutorial practical will be those used to copy, move, rename or delete files and folders or directories from our system.
So the main commands to use will be the following:
- mv to rename or move
- cp to copy files
- cp -r to copy directories
- rm to delete files or directories
In addition to the order cd which will allow us browse directories or the order ls which serves us for list the content of directory in which we are.
As I told you before, it is highly recommended the perform the exercise ourselves, Because in this way we can see in our own skin how simple it becomes, in addition to what really happens when we do the same thing from the graphical interface by right-clicking.
